which weapon is the best weapon?
i rank the goodness of weapon depends on the efficiency in killing enemies
1, hammer, high damage and KD
2, dragger, high damage chain and KD, its rank is lower than hammer because when the dragger chain cannot kill you, then all the pressure is released
3, scythe, i dont know is that my bad luck or something i miss, i always take ~100 damage from scythe, i always take the critical hit?
4, bow, daze and interrupt,
5, axe, damage chain
6, spear, fair damage and one daze skill(only available to paragon), not a big problem
7, sword, it may be my bias, i feel noob players always use sword
(i dont mean using sword is a noob)
i just consider the pressure and killing efficiency, not defence, so i dont consider its a one-hand weapon (can hold a shield )or a both hand weapon,
i just share my opinion

-Hammers are not really a killing weapon, more of a disruption pressure weapon.
-Axes have the biggest spike of any one handed weapon.
-Swords are a pressure weapon thanks to a constant DPS
-Spears, imbalanced, no other comment.
-Bows, Disruption, crippleshot, BHA, Apply poison, BA etc.
-Scythes, usure.
-daggers biggest spike of any two handed weapon.
I can't say that I could rank weapons, I like most of them.

Just because noob players may use swords, doesn't mean it's a noob weapon. In fact it's one of the better - still have a high DPS and you can use a shield or another offhand. The efficiency in killing enemies all depends on how you use that weapon. And scythes are really slow, one of the main reasons I find it a bit boring to use them - regardless of their damage :P Same goes for bows. Personally, I'd rather be in there whacking stuff.
I think every weapon class has its pros and cons, so more often than not it comes down to your own personal preference. I like axes. Makes me feel like a Viking. Rawr :]

imo, scythe and daggers have a tie there, scythe has the hightest high DMG of 41, which means when a scythe crits you, its pretty much 100+dmg, how ever scythe has a lower attack speed though. daggers are deadly, just push button 1 2 3 4 5, target down, but if any one of those 5 attacks fails, the chain is end, thus have to wait another 10-15 secs to do the next wave.

They each have there uses and depending on the current meta some become more effective than others.
Always been a fan of axes myself anyhow if I had to pick one

I love Urgoz's Longbow. It's my pride and joy. hehe I only use greens, but I love that one. The skin is awesome and goes well with my 15k druid armor. But the stats are great too. Damage 15% while health is above 50%, +30 health, and 20/20 sundering. Woot! And since it's a longbow I can fight from a distance and I like that better than up close battles., and pulling is better

All weapons have their place somewhere. I don't like to rank them against each other because they're all good at different things.
Hammers: Great DPS if you need to hit hard, plenty of options for disrupting the enemy. Also has a very satisfying sound when it criticals.
Swords: The "old faithful" of warrior weapons, offering a reliable damage output over time.
Axes: Strike damage may not be as reliable as the sword, but lets you inflict stacks of conditions and has some nice spiking skills.
Bows: 5 different subtypes of bows available, each with different properties. Very adaptable with a range of different uses (some are more accurate, some have a better range, some are better at firing over terrain). Skills that let you inflict a wide range of conditions or disrupt the enemy.
Daggers: Absolutely pathetic damage when used without attack skills; if used with attack skills, an incredible DPS can be achieved. Attack rate enhanced by doublestrikes.
Scythes: Less reliable strike damage, but when it criticals it can cause some major pain (and average DPS is nothing to be sniffed at). Can hit up to 3 targets per swing.
Spears: The highest DPS of any one handed weapon, though the spear is more of a filler weapon used between chants and other utility skills.

You can always buy mine ?
Now on topic:
IMO they're all pretty much the same. They all got their positive, and their negative sides.
My PERSONAL preferences tho are:
For PvE:
1. sword -> just because they look so good, and dragon slash
2. axe -> easy deep wound
3. hammer ->
For PvP:
1. hammer -> I simply LOVE the knockdown abilities while doing some major damage, and again, rather easy deep wound.
2. axe -> eviscrate spikes are rather fun
3. sword -> rarely use them actually in pvp
As a warrior I'm not gonna comment on other weapons because I dont use them enough to say anything useful about them

Stygian Reaver. Eviscerate is the king of spike skills; you cannot possibly look better Evis spiking with an axe that is not a Stygian. QED.

I really like Hammers. I like the way they look, and I like the way they function. I think the Runik Hammer is the best-looking weapon in the game by far.

Honestly, the decision isn't as much the inherent power of the weapon, but rather the skills that are in that weapon's mastery line.
